Where can I get directions and/or training on how to accomplish tech tasks including everything from managing a class list serve to putting a class up on Blackboard to doing Power Point Presentations? Where can I send a student who needs academic advising?
Annette McMenamin (annette@nimbus.temple.edu) has provided a list of Academic Advising Centers for our use. Please click here to consult this list and share the pertinent information with your students but do not distribute the list as it is still being updated. Thanks.

Where can I send a student who needs/wants the services of the University's Counseling Services? Warning: read the Dean's memo on restrictions on faculty (faculty cannot initiate a discussion of a student's need for physical or emotional aid!). After reading the Dean's memo, if you have any questions about a particular circumstance, please call John Dimino at University Counseling Services (1-7276). Also, faculty should feel free to walk at-risk students over to USC for emergency consultation (i.e., if a student expresses thoughts of suicide). UCS is located on the lower level of Sullivan Hall. M-F, 8:30-4:30, 204-7276, http://www.temple.edu/counseling. "UCS's goal is to provide a safe, non-threatening, informal, yet professional, atmosphere where students will feel comfortable in seeking counseling-related services for a wide variety of concerns."
