The embryology course for medical students is designed to introduce the important basic developmental events that will allow for understanding human embryology. In addition, a goal is to highlight some of the ways congenital abnormalaties come about. The course will cover from the time of fertilization, through the formation of organ systems through the perinatal period. The objective of this course is to provide the student with the framework to attempt to determine how different congenital abnormalities arise. At the end of the course, the student should be able to know where to find information about normal development and then to apply that information to different abnormalities that they may see in their clinical practices. 2001 Schedule- Medical EmbryologyFriday 9/7/01 1 - 3 Embryo Lect.
