I wrote these tables up mainly for my own curiosity, and I decided to put them up on the web in case anyone else wanted to see them. I think this kind of info is getting pretty common knowledge these days, but I thought it was interesting to see how different play styles affected your stats towards the middle to end game. I made the linked characters with D.S.U.P.L., just for testing purposes. I put them up for download in case people were curious and wanted to play with them. Essentially the first chart shows what your stats look like at level 100 if you level in one and only one ability (melee, ranged, nature magic or combat magic). The second chart shows the results of some mixed leveling scenarios, which may or may not seem alluring. One thing that seems clear is that although rounded characters have a lot of options, they are really underpowered later in the game, leading to frustrating goofing around trying to get equipment. Personally, I finished the single player with a character at like 54/36/4/12 and have since taken him to approximately 65/40/60/80 with multiplayer. I think I'm done playing, except for screwing around, until the editor comes out. Then I'll probably just make some campaigns. Straight ahead strategies
*Leveled concurrently, e.g. all brought to level one, then all to level two, etc. ** Note that all skills at 93 is the same überlevel as one skill at 100. Keep this in mind in PVP if you focus on one skill only. *** Also note, that an even leveled, maxed character is at a severe disadvantage, as they will be unable to natively use most equipment that has been dropping since they were around 60th level, if not before.
